Metropolitan Area
Serving and advocating in the City of Charlottesville, Albemarle, Fluvanna, Louisa, Greene, Nelson, Madison, and Orange counties
Vision
Our vision is that Black women and girls will live in a world where socioeconomic inequity does not exist. We believe in gender equity, inclusion, respect, racial and social justice, integrity and accountability, economic empowerment, and collaboration.
Mission
To advocate on behalf of Black women and girls to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education, and economic empowerment.
Ultimately building pathways to sustainable self-sufficiency, for women and girls of African descent.

It takes a village to raise a child. We are the 100 Black Women of the Charlottesville Metropolitan Area, and we are the foundation for that village.
National Coalition for 100 Black Women
Founded October 24, 1981, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women is a non-profit volunteer organization for American women. Its members address common issues in their communities, families and personal lives, promoting gender and racial equity.
NCBW-CMA is grateful to all individuals and organizations willing to help our community. We are all working diligently to exact change. There is still much work to do.
